The bank foreclosed on my homeby Ann I know what foreclosure consequences feel like. Last year, my husband and I ended up in a lot of trouble when he entered the hospital and was then off work for several weeks. We missed our mortgage payment. Unfortunately, the bank would not provide use with any help in getting caught up. Six months later, we lost our home because we missed that one payment and they never really allowed us to catch up. I wish we would have known that there were other solutions.We are working today at getting our credit back up, but it is very difficult. It takes a long time and even though we want to purchase a home in the future again, we have no idea when that’s going to be possible. I think foreclosure help like this could have helped us to save our home. Maybe there is some way that we can still get the help that we need? It was so hard to explain to our children that the bank was taking our home and we couldn’t stop foreclosure from happening. We also lost the $10,000 we already had invested in the home by paying on it for several years. I hope this helps someone else to see that the foreclosure consequences are awful!
