Don't do it

by Amy
(Tampa, Florida)

Hello, I’m Amy. I see that there are some people on this website that have gone through foreclosure before. I wanted to share my own experience. I live in Florida and lost my home through foreclosure last year. It was a nightmare. If you are thinking about just letting your home go through foreclosure instead of finding a way to save it, I urge you to really think about this. It was a bad decision for us.

When we got behind on our mortgage we just thought that since our credit was ruined already we might as well just let the bank take our home. So we did. Now, we are facing the foreclosure consequences for it. We have really bad credit and can not get a loan for a new home. We pay a lot more on our rent because our credit is so bad. And, our car insurance went up. They said it was because our credit score was so low. It has been a year now and we are still struggling. Its bad. Really think about this before you do it. Find a different way!

Thank you for sharing!

Thank you for sharing your experience with us about consequences of foreclosure.

Being a real estate professional and facing some of the same financial problems as everyone else, I want to thank you so much for writing what you did. Sometimes it's just so hard to take on the task of stopping foreclosure from happening. Sometimes it's hard to ask for foreclosure assistance and being the one who is helped.

It does take a lot of work, but you can stop foreclosure! There are companies that can help, the courts can help and lending companies will help. Trust me, the lending companies would much rather work with you than have to take on the task of foreclosing the house, then selling it, etc.

However, please don't give up. Yes, it's difficult for you right now, but give yourself time to change. Check out your options, including bankruptcy, because having bad credit now doesn't have to stick with you forever. I mean if you really think about it, Donald Trump filed for bankruptcy (I believe more than once), and he's still able to move forward with his life plans and dreams. So can you! Check out foreclosure refinancing and other loss mitigation plans.

I wish you the best of luck

Consequences of foreclosure
by: Andy and Regina

Consequences of foreclosure are bad and Amy is correct. Do not do it, if you have other options. Our member of family went through foreclosure and we know what consequences he is paying. Because we were in a bad shape also we decided to use this service. Using their advice, reading information on this web site and living in Florida where housing market is very bad, we are still in our home. You might ask how? Ethical Foreclosure Solutions web site gave us knowledge, helped us to make a decision and their service did the rest. We were able to avoid foreclosure, stay home and we appreciate their help.
